Meeting Materials
What is Model United Nations?
Model United Nations is an activity in which pairs or singles are assigned ambassadors from different countries to simulate an actual UN meeting. After being assigned a country, each ambassador researches the agenda, other countries, and his/her own country, develops policies, and prepares for the meeting. At the actual meeting, the ambassadors make speeches and negotiate with other countries and their own countries, taking into account their own national interests, in order to create a draft resolution (DR) that is close to their own country’s policy.
If you want to check how to prepare for the meeting and the rules, or if you are a beginner, please refer to this word. Reproduction is prohibited.
For beginners
Model United Nations has different agendas and participants depending on the conference, so beginners can participate without any problems. You can also chat or ask questions directly to the meeting director if you have any questions during the meeting.
